Fishing
Lake Clark is home to many different species of fish, and all of them are only a short boat ride away from the lodge. The Sockeye Salmon are one of our favorites, however. During your fishing adventure you will be provided with all the proper gear– waders, fishing poles, lures and more. We will guide you through the process every step of the way, ensuring a fun and eventful memory. In 2024 the highest recorded salmon run since they started counting, was recorded, with a total of 820,000 coming into the Lake Clark watershed.
Hiking
No buildings for miles and miles, Alaska is one of the best places for a hiking adventure. The Alaskan landscape provides mountains topped with snow and sweeping views in every direction. While you climb, all of the worries of the world seem to slip from your mind. The air is clear and when there is a breeze it brings smells of the tundra and pure summer bliss. During our guided hikes when wild blueberries are plentiful, you might see some Dall sheep grazing upon the grassy slopes or even black bears getting some berries for themselves, or walk upon spruce hens in the trail. The best thing about hikes is that each one is unique, providing an experience only for those there in that moment. Great hikes include to Tanalian Mountain, Tanalian falls, and cave falls.
Kayaking
Take in the sights and sounds of the lake, as you experience Lake Clark from water level. You can glide through the lake, paddling by the peaceful shores and exploring the rivers. Like the hiking adventures, the kayaking adventures are unique only to those experiencing them in the moment. No excursion is the same with so many locations to explore. You can rent kayaks and gear, to enjoy the lake on your own time and pace.
